SmartPOS payment app for N910 Pro in Serbia

CircleBlue Group working in partnership with Galeb is pleased to announce the deployment of independent Android smart POS merchant network in Serbia based on Newland Payment Technology, one of the top suppliers of payment devices worldwide with its best-in-class Smart POS terminals including payment acceptance.

Newland’s N910 Pro Android SmartPOS terminals are being used to support a comprehensive suite of business applications such as electronic cash register and fiscal reporting as well as full range of payment methods, including the local Dina debit card, MasterCard, Visa international cards and pay-by-installment, American Express to follow.

Merchant acquiring services are currently provided by Banca Intesa Beograd ( BIB), with payment transactions being routed through the payment switch provided by CircleBlue Group, and processed by NEXI CEE, subsidiary of the Nexi Group based in Zagreb, Croatia.

In addition to routing transactions through its switching system to contracted local acquirers, CircleBlue provides the electronic cash register and payment software running on the N910 Pro SmartPOS devices together with FreshApp merchant management system. Newland’s TOMS estate management account is used to remotely manage the devices and upgrade terminal software, with secure key management controlled through the company’s FlyKey RKI (Remote Key Injection) system.

The N910 Pro is one of the latest evolutions to Newland’s powerful Android SmartPOS payment device series. With a 5.5” colour touchscreen, sleek, ergonomic footprint and built-in printer, it allows merchants to combine cash register and store management software with payment and value-add service applications. With PCI PTS v6.x security approval, the N910 Pro runs a hardened version of the Android 10 operating system and benefits from Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G communication options. With chip, magnetic stripe and contactless readers as well as front and rear-facing cameras, it provides full support for all major international contact and contactless cards, NFC wallets, and QR-code payment schemes.

As part of the solution implementation, Galeb and CircleBlue started to onboard local merchants and remotely activating the N910 Pro for payment acceptance at about 40,000 outlets where N910 Pro was already used as merchant POS terminal from April 2022, finally bringing the benefits of all-in-one payment at POS to a diverse range of merchants across Serbia.
